Day 1
well, first of all, i was there late. the band departed Penang on the 11th of Dec and i was there on the 14th of Dec. before i reach UKM's hostel, i imagined the hostel will have nice beds, air-cond, most importantly air-cond and a shower. UNFORTUNATELY when i arrived at UKM's hostel, i was shocked! it's kinda dirty, there was no air-cond and no shower! omg it's so shity but we still had to live in it. so a few minutes later, practice. == just arrived also need to practice. oh btw, only 4 ex-members and i was there on the 14th. the rest was in Terengganu on the 11th and 13th in KL. so after practice we went to Kajang for sate. i was so frustrated cause we came all the way here just for sate. we could've done something better than going to Kajang to have SATE. anyway after that went back to the hostel and sleep. we were supposed to reach the hostel at 10 something to 11 BUT the bus driver got lost. so we reached the hostel at abt 12am something to 1am.

Day 2
morning........practice again. then had lunch. the whole band went t KLCC except for the Pipes and Drums who decided to stay back for practice cause the next day was their competition. so we practice practice practice until we've perfected the songs. not bad you know. thanks to who? thanks to muahhh. HAHAHAHA =P then at night we continued to practice to make sure everything is 101% no problemo. after that, sleep

Day 3
next morning. Pipes and Drums woke up at 4am in the morning to get ready. wore our uniforms. warmed up our pipes, practice for the last time and at 7 something, we moved to Berjaya Times Square. 4 other pipe bands were there. St John, St John Alumni, UiTM and KL Pipes and Drums. after competing...btw this is the preliminary rounds. then results time. the last place for the preliminary rounds will perform first in the finals on the next day in Pavillion. so we got last because of our shitty chanter reeds which are so old and so out of tune and it's so sucky. for the results, go to Penang COPAD's link in my "other's blogs" section located at the right side of this page. at night the whole band went for the Street Parade competition at Jalan Ampang. at that time, it was raining heavily and they're not cancelling the parade. so we had no choice but to continue under the heavy rain. we were soaking wet. but luckily we were the first few contingents and we get to get out of the rain earlier. not like the South Africa band who is the last contingent. so unlucky for them. lol then go back planned for who wants to go back to penang and who wants to stay and watch the grand finals. 26 wants to go back and 25 stayed. the Pipes and Drums team had no choice but to stay back cause they had to perform in the grand finals. but it was worth it cause our faces was on world television through ESPN and Star Sports...LIVE. hahahahaha the programme will be on ESPN and Star Sports for 2 months. so to those who didn't watch it, don't worry. you still have a chance to watch it till next month i think. =)

Day 4
woke up and helped those who are gonna go back. those who're going back will be helping us to bring back whatever stuff that we don't want to leave here except for their own instruments. so after that. some of the members went to Pavillion to watch the Drum Battle while some of us stayed back. the Pipes and Drums team went to..............sleep cause we were too tired. 1 hour later. i woke them up. practice for one last time and we changed into our uniforms. when we reached Pavillion, a lot of ppl were there and now Sri Dasmesh - the Malaysian Sikh Pipe Band was there to compete. they couldn't make it the day before cause most of their members are not in Malaysia. so today they're all here and they're gonna go first instead of us cause......you know la. if you don't know then only ask me la. lol so before we start, we had a meeting. we told ourselves there's no point in competing anymore cause we know that we're gonna lose. so we just told ourselves to have fun and sure enough we had fun playing the songs. ppl acknowledge us as the entertainment band. well at least that's what we thought cause our songs can make them dance while the other bands played simple dimple(learned this idiom from St John..haha) songs. then results. we knew it..we got last. but who cares? next year, we're gonna rule over them. i have confidence. the Western Australia Coastal Scottish Pipers were the guest players for this year's MWBC Pipe Competition 2009 and let me tell you, eventhough they're only a Grade 3 pipe band, they're super d duper. they're such pros man. anyway after that we went to Midvalley Megamall. when it was time to go back, we saw this really really really really hot hottaty hot hot and very very very beautiful with a perfect body lady standing at the fence? i don't know what it's called but whatever. she pushed her ass out and upwards eventhough she knew that we're looking. LOL so hot. hahaha then went back...sleep.

Day 5
woke up, bathed, had breakfast and changed into nice nice mia clothes and went to Sungei Wang mall and Berjaya Times Square's indoor theme park. i tell you the roller coaster, the DNA mixer the other ride which i forgot what's the name was SUPERB! hahaha vincent vomited after he went on the Dizzy Izzy. hahaha. play play play. then went back hostel, Pipes and Drums changed into our uniforms. i tell you, we've been wearing that same uniform for 3 continuous days already. after that went to Putrajaya for the grand finals. woah i tell you....very nice laaa. after everything was done. everybody went centre stage and PARRRTTAAAYYY. haha well just shouted, danced and sang. haha

Day 6
woke up and went to this band seminar in Wisma Bentley until abt 3 something. then we went to the curve. after that went to some restaurant for the farewell dinner. let me just tell you this, all the other bands are SOO LANSI!!!! they don't even care if we're there or not. so we just had our own fun la since they don't want to come join us. play play play. dinner, eat eat eat. after that party time! woo hoo. the South African singers were really entertaining. party again!! haha sweat a lot. one of the ex members said, "this is like an underaged club". hahaha well i think it was true. had fun till 11 something i think then went back hostel sleep.

Day 7
woke up, had breakfast and then went back Penang. then don't want to continue story d. hahaha =p

Decision Making

What i've learnt today is, when you want to make a decision for yourself, make that decision by YOURSELF. Don't ask others for advice or so called "Words of Wisdom". They'll just give you bullshit. Although some may give good advice but when it comes to making a decision for yourself, it's better to make that decision by YOURSELF. For example, if person A ask you to do this job and you feel that you're not up to that standard to do that job, just say no. Even if person A insults you or does something to you, don't care abt person A cause person A can or may be wrong. Sometimes, even leaders cannot be trusted. They can ask you to be the "kambing korban" without you knowing. I guess that was what happened to me. But when it comes to making decisions for a team, it's better to bring your team leaders together to do some brainstorming. By doing this, many suggestions will come up and you can mix all the suggestions up and make one final decision.

before the match started, i was telling myself, we're goners. ZTec...haih, gone case d. sure die wan. but it turned out to be a draw! man what a match. so exhilarating. it really felt like 300 Spartans against 10 000 Persians. 2nd goal by the opponent's team. my mistake. i didn't block Oliver, instead i stood there like an ass. my biggest disappointment in that game. but one of the opponent's team member's girlfriend somehow cheered me up a lil by calling us names like shitheads and bananas. eventhough it was insulting i kinda think it's funny lol. 2 thumbs up for the keeper. without her, we really really gone case d. okay enough abt floorball.

tomorrow family day, oh nooooooo. report card. my dad sure screw me one. dang it. now i can't play computer games on the desktop until i improve my results..........wah, my life so little update nia meh?? kay kay..think think think.......................BRAIN BLAST. LOL anyway, i'm gonna self quarantine myself after i come back from Aus until the results shows that i'm free of H1N1. so practically i'll be skipping school for abt 3 weeks. lol then when it's time for test........i'l go blank. aww man. but nvm la. yes!! finally..part of my life feels very happy already! thanks to Oon Feng and Lawrence of course. lol i finally realised some stuffs, i may have made mistakes in the past but what the heck, i gotta move on and keep moving forward. =)
19th June, SXI band concert, fuhh never thought there would be so many ppl. and this time, i wasn't playing only one instrument but TWO. i only learnt it after Amos migrated to Canada which is...................1 and a half month before the concert? hahaha
20th June, Bro. Paul's farewell dinner, led Bro, Paul for the last time. very sad that he's leaving us. we're gonna miss you brother, your smile, your jokes and your food. haha..you've done so much for us. thank you very much. =/ sad

omg..something happened yesterday that will make me very sad for a very long time..haih
but today ah..fulamak, went to GP and then saw this two "hot" girls you know. LOL then follow them until 6.15 then had to chow d. went to some tea house, had reunion dinner, took photos for my PM folio, went to grandma's house, chat chat for awhile, talked abt those 2 "hot" girls for awile..LOL then talked abt my cousin's future gf for awhile, then asked my dad to fetch us home, then come home d take laptop and now.....I'M HERE..=)

when i was in Guangzhou Zoo, my dad and I had to go to the toilet, and when we went inside the toilet, it looked like this. =/

when we went inside, we looked around the toilet. And when we looked behind, we saw a guy, doing his business and playing with his phone. and then we quickly turned away from him and we laughed, not loudly but softly. LOL.

there was this restaurant, the cubicles, omg so close! i wonder......ah nvm.

okay Pastor Ernest taught us something abt the 5 languages of love. then he taught us abt things abt sex. and oh i remember this one. he said, when you're in a relationship, you can only hold the girl's hands or touch the shoulders. and when you want to kiss, you can only kiss on the cheeks or on the forehead. not the lips. can only do that with your wife/husband. that's what he said. oh yea. and girls like to play hard to get so he's advising all the girls not to do that. it's a bad thing. and...aiya forgot d la. his class is very very interesting. learnt quite a lot from there. yea. that's all.

update! China Trip.

helllooo!! i've got tons to update but i'm just too lazy..LOL so i'll just update it one by one. =)
okay, my HK-Macau-China trip was okay, i didn't upload any pictures into my comp...soo, yeah. haha
1st day, arrived at HK, then the tour guide took us to Madame Tussaud's house of wax. so took a lot of pictures with the "movie stars" and "sport stars". after that i forgot liao..lol sorry
2nd day, HK DIM SUM WAS SUPERB, but i accidentally ate something with vege inside then i threw up. yuck and yea, i don't eat vege =). then we went to Macau with ferry. Then, went to The Ruins of St. Paul's Church. then forgot what we did d, then at night went to a casino. And my sister, my grandma and I waited outside =.= so dumb.
3rd day, forgot what we did d but i know at night, we reached Zhu Hai, China. at night, we went to this massage centre and it was like a palace. They treated us like emperors and emperess. They also wore those traditional chinese palace dresses.
4th day, went to this Guangzhou Zoo and saw A PANDA!!! haha after that, umm umm. i forgot lol nvm. then went to Shen Zhen then watched some performances then umm umm..forgot d. haha
5th day, woke up, went back to HK then after that, HONG KONG DISNEYLAND! WHOOPEE. it was small but okay la. Went to Space Mountain with my sis, 4 TIMES! OMG it was so fun, roller coaster, so fast, hair flying, screaming LOL. at night, stayed in Mong Kok. Shopped till we dropped. and ate till we, we umm, i don't know. LOL MANGO PUDDING ME WANT! haha so nice okay.
6th day, came back to Penang. whoopee. then came back home, sleep.

today was the longest time i went out to Gurney with friends. so fun. lol watched Twilight, bought my shirt, talked, walked, sat and talked and played "Truth or Dare"(i wasn't sporting enough. lol). Twilight wasn't what i've expected. it was quite boring actually except for the scenes when Bella was with Edward. haih, so sweet. *thinking* *shakes head* LOL. yea, then i played para para paradise, Patricia said she took a video of me playing, wth, i look so weird and and...i don't know. aww man, i was supposed to go to Gurney today but my parents are busy. had to attend this wedding thingy and later at 7pm, i have to attend a meeting. haih tomorrow will be at Northam Beach from 6am till 4.30pm. Then after that will be going to church from 5 till 7pm. on Monday is my Expedition badge. hiking up to Penang Hill from church. stay there for one night. hike down to botanical gardens and go back to my church. on the way up and down, we have to collect stuff and after that make a scrapbook. haih then on friday, camp at church till monday. 4 days later, i'm saying bye bye to Penang. coming back after 6 days. then only i'm free. i think. I don't know yet la, more activities are to come. haih.

1st Day : Fire and Rescue course

1st course was okay. some pictures.

after that, we had a 30 minutes break. so went out to take some pictures.

okay, 2nd course was almost the same as the 1st course. so the instrustor joked with us. this class was the 2nd most interesting class throughout the whole day.

1st Day(yesterday 17/11)
arrived at the HQ, couldn't find the seminar room. Was a little bit late with some of my friends. Sleepy at the first course. after that, went for a break. then the second course. took some pictures at the lecturer.

Did CPR and the Heimlich Manoeuvre during this course. very fun and tiring. 2 inhalations, 30 compressions. lol after that, we were tested on this. and i only got a Satisfactory. haih pass can d la. haha

2nd Day(today 18/11)

arrived early today. first course, sleepy. Lunch was early. After lunch, went back, study a little bit. after that course again. and then practical. this time was bandages. lol, tested on us again, but now i don't know what i got. after that was our test. 50 questions. quite easy. mostly common sense. a few questions that were not taught or in the "Lecture Book". didn't take any pictures cause i forgot. lol that's all.

My Band Life

I think i've changed my mind. I won't be quitting band anymore BUT, i won't be going to that freaking camp. i have phobia camping outdoors. there's just too many things to sacrifice, the concert tour, next year's concert in Dewan Sri Pinang and the most interesting one of all is THE JAKARTA HIGLAND GATHERING which will be held at Jakarta of course. lol so, i think because of this, i won't be quitting band. But i definitely won't be going to that camp. seriously.

PLTC (Platoon Leader's Training Course)

this camp was quite.....interesting. lol

1st Day.

arrived at church, then did some drill. after drill was course, course, lunch, course, course, and more course, then dinner. After dinner, we watched Facing The Giants. after that, group sharing. when group sharing was done, SLEEP.

2nd Day.

woke up, had breakfast. after breakfast, changed into our full-u and attended Sunday Service. after service, went to McD for lunch. after lunch, came back to church, changed and then, group sharing. after that, pack up and AFTER that.....HOME SWEET HOME. lol.

today.............IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! well, for our school i mean. and it was BORREEEEDDDDDD. and it was freaking suckish for me. I had to attend this Section Leader's meeting. like what the hell man, i don't care d, i'm gonna quit band. i can't cope up with both, BB and band. in band i'm the SL, in BB i'm a NCO. wth, both also got post. then BB got so many things to do. then Band also got so many stuff to do. wah...i can hin ah i tell you. so i've decided to quit band. Why? in band, you only learn how to play the instruments. and yea there are a lot of performances outside. Mr Khor said they're gonna have a concert tour around Malaysia or something like that, next year got our school concert and the Jakarta Highland Gathering(pipers and drummers only). Whereas in BB, i can learn a lot and a lot of stuff like, camping, first-aid, physical challenges, band also got and a lot more la which i cannot think of lol. i have to sacrifice a lot of interesting band activities but i have to do it. i can't take it anymore. And btw, if i leave, there's a high chance that the Pipe section will die, i don't know. but it's their problem d la. the band has owed me RM242.20 since June. and, i'm gonna try to ask the government's permission to set up a pipe band outside like the one in KL. their pipe band ah, fuiyoh, got standard la. but unfortunately, it's only for Singhs..haha. so that's all la. and to my friends....UPDATE YOUR BLOG LA. YOU KNOW HOW BORED I AM AH, ALWAYS LOOKING AT THE SAME THINGS. =)

I went to play for them and they ROCK! LOL

4 pipers, 2 drummers and 1 helper went. Helmi, Rubhenraj(drummers), L. Wei Jian, Dinesh, Sathish, Wei Zhen(helper) and I(pipers). It was really FUN! The reason why it's fun is we get free food, we don't have to march in school, we get to meet all the ex-COPAD(Corp of Pipes And Drums), the Scottish Dancers and the ex-band directors, but the starting was really embarrassing. we played Amazing Grace and nobody knows how to play, except for me la of course, =P. so yeah.. It was really embarrassing. towards the end, dinesh requested that all the ex-COPAD members come out to have a group photo. instead Johnny Michael Tan(emcee, ex-drummer) called all the pipers, drummers, scottish dancers and directors of SXI COPAD to come out to the stage to have a group photo. but we didn't taake the group photo, instead they asked us to play some songs and let the scottish dancers well, dance. here are some photos.
